제1차 KMAC 디지털디자인강좌 성공개최 | Successful Launch of KMAC 1st Digital Design Class
On Saturday, June 20, KMAC Korean Minjok Aspiration Center successfully held KMAC 1st Digital Design Class online. The program was met with enthusiastic participation and created an engaging, interactive, and enjoyable learning environment. Although the two-hour session covered a substantial amount of material, participants remained highly focused and demonstrated remarkable perseverance throughout the class. Their enthusiasm and ability to grasp new concepts exceeded expectations and impressed everyone involved.
The course was personally taught by Subi Sung, President of KMAC Korean Minjok Aspiration Center. After graduating from a prestigious college of art and design, President Sung built a distinguished career at a leading advertising agency, where he served as a Senior Art Director and received numerous national and international advertising awards. Drawing upon years of professional experience in creative planning, branding, and graphic design, she shared both practical knowledge and industry insights with participants.
Reflecting on the class, President Sung remarked, "Throughout my career, I have trained new employees and freelance designers from many different backgrounds. I was truly impressed by how quickly our participants—most of whom were complete beginners—understood the material. Their enthusiasm, curiosity, and ability to learn were exceptional, and they reminded me of the remarkable potential within our Korean community."
The Digital Design Class is part of KMAC's ongoing workforce development initiative, designed to help first-generation immigrants rediscover educational opportunities they may not have had in the past and to support long-term unemployed young adults in developing professional skills for new career paths. The program is scheduled to be offered every three months as part of KMAC's long-term commitment to career education and community empowerment.
KMAC hopes that many more community members will be inspired to pursue the dreams they once had to set aside because of life's responsibilities. We believe that learning alongside experienced professionals makes the journey toward new skills more accessible and rewarding. Most importantly, we hope to encourage everyone to embrace the belief that the future belongs to those who have the courage to continue learning, challenge themselves, and pursue new opportunities at every stage of life.
